Appendix has been provided for your reference.The NZ government has produced the Green List of occupations, which includes 85 job roles, in an effort to reduce unemployment. A further 17 roles will be added to the Green List in March 2024 on either the "Straight to Residence" or "Work to Residence" pathway, it was revealed in late September 2023. It will be announced closer to the time as to whether each role comes under the "Straight to Residence" or "Work to Residence" track. (please check at the end of this article for all 17 job roles).
New Zealand has also opened its borders to talented foreign workers and students. Jobs in 11 industries, including healthcare, construction, engineering, technology, and primary & science-related occupations, are included on this list that are largely unfilled in New Zealand. Each work role has a distinct job code and particular eligibility standards that must be met when submitting a visa application.
There are numerous benefits for those falling under the green list of occupations in New Zealand other than just getting a job and residential benefits. These other benefits include:
-Every qualification indicated as a prerequisite is based on NZQF.
-The Green List offers a work-to-resident pathway and a quick route to the residence.
-Applications for green-listed visas are evaluated and examined in New Zealand in just one month.
-The permission to work will also be granted to the spouses of candidates who are employed in occupations on New Zealand's green list.
